Our project idea

Teachers in Norwegian primary schools and German secondary modern schools notice an increasing number of pupils who aren’t able and motivated to manage their own learning process: they don’t find school attractive, they often feel bored or not able to succeed in different subjects and some of them suffer from a lack of self assurance because of different handicaps. We also see poor performance in the basic skills.

Our project idea is to share and develop more practical and effective teaching methods. In order to develop better basic skills and strengthening the pupil’s self assurance we would like to share and develop new and more practical teaching methods. We will especially focus on environmental education, since both regions are rural and located in close proximity to the nature. The main objective of the project is improving the learning outcome, especially in certain basic competences, by exchanging and developing practical and effective teaching methods.
In cooperation with experts from the local partners methods should be developed, which are suitable to improve scientific skills as well as social competences like working in teams and planning and managing small projects. The project will also help to make schools in rural regions more attractive.
